Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a moving yoga practice which links one asana, or pose, to the next, through the breath. Vinyasa helps to orchestrate a balance of strength and flexibility within the body, merging movement and stillness. Breathing becomes an art form in this practice, in which movement and breath cease to occur separately, turning the practice into a rhythmic meditative dance. More description about Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa styles vary by class and instructor. Classes may incorporate various traditions to achieve the goals of that particular class. Styles may include Prana Vinyasa™, Anusara, Ashtanga-based movements.

Vinyasa generates heat in the body, which allows for more freedom of exploration in the asanas.

  • Vinyasa I is taught at a slower pace, with more detailed instruction and is an excellent class for those interested in learning more about Vinyasa.
  • Vinyasa II is more advanced, taught at a faster pace and includes more challenging postures, including inversions.
